Declared Interest Rate |

The interest rate declared by the company that your interest-sensitive or universal life policy's account value earns. Although the company can change the declared rate periodically, usually annually, the declared rate cannot be less than the minimum guaranteed rate specified in the policy (usually 3 to 4 percent).
