Other Insured Rider

The Other Insured Rider provides coverage for an additional insured, such as a spouse or a business partner, for a selected amount, usually on the same plan, on a fully underwritten basis. The coverage usually has a $50,000 minimum death benefit and cannot exceed the death benefit on the insured under the basic policy. The benefit to this rider is that the combined premiums may be slightly less than the premiums for two separate life insurance policies.
