Single Premium Deferred Annuity |
|
|
|
A deferred annuity contract purchased with one payment (called a premium). No additional premium contributions may be made to a single premium contract. Under deferred annuities, the payment of periodic benefit payments is not scheduled to begin until some future date. Meanwhile, during the deferral period, the premium is placed in an account and earns interest on a tax-deferred basis. |
