Variable Universal Life Insurance |
|

This is a type of universal life insurance policy under which the interest credited to the policy each year is not declared by the insurance company. Instead, the policyowner assumes the investment risk by choosing to invest the premiums in one or more stocks, bonds and other mutual funds available in the policy. Similar to universal life, mortality and expense charges are deducted daily or monthly; however, the investment return is based on the performance of the underlying funds.
